Denver, CO (Kevin Nunley) What is your niche? We hear a lot of talk about niches. Even major corporations spend a lot of time cultivating their own personal niche. Why?
In order for your business to grow, you’ve got to advertise. Advertising is expensive. Many businesses wind up buying an ad here, a commercial there, and sending out a sales letter every once in a while. Your marketing message becomes so spread out and diluted that it doesn’t get much response.
Unless you’ve got millions to blanket the world with advertising, pick a narrow but profitable group of people to focus your marketing on. Hammer away at that niche on a regular and consistent basis.
Your niche could be a slice of your industry, several neighborhoods, or people often needing a certain service. Your niche can be customers in your industry who are demanding an improvement in a product or service. You could be the person that does that one thing better than your competitors.
