Orangeville, ON (Jason Mead) It’s impossible to count all the benefits of exercising. There are so many. In general, they help control weight, aid weight loss, improve attitude, and generally make you feel better. We’re now being told that just thirty minutes a day of exercise is very beneficial for your health.

Though I have to accept the opinions of so many experts, setting aside the time is a challenge for me. Here are some ideas to get you started if you have the same problem:

You shouldn’t park next to the front door of the store when you go to the mall or grocery store. Make sure your car is as far away as possible. It’ll make walking easier.

Step outside and clean the yard when the weather is pleasant. Even bending and stretching to pick up leaves burns calories.

Take your dog for a walk. Your dog will love it and keep you active.

Make time for a walk during lunch at work. Several people at my office are willing to walk with me some days. This makes the time go faster and I’ve exercised in the daylight.

There are probably a lot more reasons and ideas to help motivate you in the right direction. Walking in the sun helps improve my mood, so I’ll just walk when the sun’s out. Let’s all find reasons to look after ourselves.
